1. Used in polypropylene films, it significantly improves film slip and anti-blocking, preventing sticking issues during film production and substantially reducing both dynamic and static surface friction coefficients.
2. Under high-temperature and other extreme processing conditions, the unique structure of the polysiloxane provides stable, long-lasting slip performance.
3. For release films, it enhances peel performance by lowering peel force and minimizing residue.
4. Using ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane as the slip component, the long polymer chains entangle with the matrix resin, ensuring non-migratory behavior and effectively preventing “blooming” or powdering on the film surface.
5. Even at elevated temperatures, it maintains low friction coefficients, making it suitable for high-speed cigarette packaging films requiring excellent hot-slip performance.
6. The polysiloxane segment also provides excellent processing lubrication, improving extrusion efficiency and overall processing performance during film production.
For optimal slip and anti-blocking performance, SF240 should be incorporated directly into the film’s skin layer at 2–10%, depending on the required COF. Detailed formulation guidance is available upon request.
This product could be transported as non-hazardous chemical. It is recommended to be stored in a dry and cool area with a storage temperature below 50°C to avoid agglomeration. The package must be well sealed after each use to prevent the product from being affected by moisture.
The standard packaging is a craft paper bag with PE inner bag with net weight of 25kg. Original characteristics remain intact for 12 months from the production date if kept in recommend storage.
Frequently Asked Questions About SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch for Polypropylene Films
Q1: How does SF240 slip and anti-blocking additive solve blocking and slip issues in polypropylene films?
SF240 reduces surface friction and film-to-film adhesion through ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane and spherical anti-block additives.
Q2: Which polypropylene films benefit most from SF240 slip & anti-blocking agent?
BOPP, CPP, cast, co-extrusion, and oriented PP films require stable slip and anti-blocking performance.
Q3: How can SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch improve processing efficiency in high-speed packaging lines?
It provides excellent processing lubrication, reducing film friction and improving throughput without affecting film clarity.
Q4: Does SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch affect film transparency or printability?
No. SF240 maintains transparency and does not interfere with printing, lamination, or heat-sealing processes.
Q5: Can SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch maintain slip performance under high temperatures?
Yes. The copolymerized polysiloxane structure ensures non-migratory, stable slip even under extremely high-temperature conditions.
Q6: How should SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch be incorporated for the best results?
Add 2–10% directly into the film’s skin layer based on the desired COF.
Q7: Is SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch suitable for release films in industrial or packaging applications?
Yes. It improves peel performance, lowers release force, and reduces residue.
Q8: What industries can maximize benefits from SF240 Slip & Anti-Blocking Masterbatch?
Cigarette packaging, food packaging, apparel, consumer goods, industrial, and flexible packaging applications.
