Description

SILIKE SILIMER 5065HB is a super slip and anti-blocking masterbatch based on long-chain alkyl-modified siloxane with treated anti-block additives. It is designed for polypropylene films, including CPP, oriented flat, co-extrusion, and other PP-based packaging films.

It improves surface smoothness and reduces both dynamic and static coefficients of friction (COF), enhancing anti-blocking performance, film handling, and processing lubrication. With a specially designed structure, SILIMER 5065HB shows excellent compatibility with the matrix resin, with no precipitation, stickiness, or impact on film transparency.

Benefits

1. When applied in polypropylene (PP) films, it can significantly improve film slip and opening performance, prevent sticking issues during film production, and substantially reduce both dynamic and static coefficients of friction, without affecting film transparency.

2. Under extreme conditions, such as high temperatures, the unique copolymerized polysiloxane structure provides the film with stable and long-lasting slip performance.

3. Using copolymerized polysiloxane as the slip component, the product features a specialized structure with excellent compatibility with the matrix resin, exhibits no precipitation, and effectively addresses issues such as powdering or blooming on the film surface.

4. It has no adverse impact on downstream processes such as printing, lamination, or heat sealing.

5. The slip component contains siloxane segments, providing good processing lubrication, improving processing efficiency, and enhancing overall performance during production.

Typical applications

SILIMER 5065HB is suitable for CPP films, oriented flat films, co-extruded PP films, and other polypropylene-based packaging films. It is commonly used for food laminated and composite packaging films, apparel and garment packaging films, consumer goods packaging films, industrial packaging films, flexible packaging films, and high-speed FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) packaging lines.

How to use

To achieve optimal slip and anti-blocking performance, it should be incorporated directly into the surface layer of the plastic film, with a recommended dosage of 1–6%.

Processing Note: Thanks to its excellent processing properties, initial extrusion may release residual material from equipment dead spots, which can temporarily increase the appearance of specks or gel points on the film. This is a transient effect, and film performance stabilizes once steady-state processing is achieved, with no lasting impact on clarity, slip, or anti-blocking properties.

Transportation & Storage

This product could be transported as non-hazardous chemical. It is recommended to be stored in a dry and cool area with a storage temperature below 50°C to avoid agglomeration. The package must be well sealed after each use to prevent the product from being affected by moisture.

Package & Shelf life

The standard packaging is a craft paper bag with PE inner bag with net weight of 25kg. Original characteristics remain intact for 12 months from the production date if kept in recommend storage.
